DOG FRIENDLY BEACHES KENT
DOG FRIENDLY BEACHES KENT
Now we're in seasonal dog restrictions May to September inclusive we've used
for our favourite unrestricted for dogs beaches! And
for some restrictions normally around the time you can go. Perhaps an early beach walk good in the heat so no dramas!

For dog-friendly beach Allhallows-on-sea doggy beach fun, you can park off Avery Way. Thank you to Waggy Trails Adventure Days Queenborough
for this image from a beach adventure day!

On the East Sussex coast but a stone's throw from the Kent border and too good to leave out, thank you to
Sophie at Leashes and Love West Malling for the image and info. Leashes and Love offer adventure days (including beach days!), licensed day care and walks. Sophie at Leashes and Love recommends parking at Western Car Park where there's a cafe and toilets, at time of writing £8 for 3 hours. To the right of the car park is unrestricted for dogs all year round. Enjoy!

Dumpton Gap is between Broadstairs and Ramsgate and dog friendly all year round.
It is tidal so if tide is high there is no beach so do check the tide times! When the tide is out you can walk from Dumpton to Ramsgate on the beach and then it’s a lead walk at Ramsgate but Ramsgate is very dog friendly in the cafes there.
At Dumpton there’s a cafe on the promenade and toilets and you can park free on the street too and walk down the slope onto the beach. If the tide is in you can walk along the top which takes you to a big park with a bit of woodland and another cafe and toilets. Lovely walk that way into Ramsgate too we do this if the tide is in.
We also found a mini dog spa, a sea pool in the cliff face on the beach and Nancy found it first and swims in it (pictured!). It’s a great place and dog walkers love it!

Dog-friendly beach Dungeness is unrestricted for dogs all year round, shingle beach and you can park in the Dungeness Nature Reserve Car Park. Look out for the lighthouses, Prospect Cottage and the nuclear power station. Thank you to
Liane at 5* licensed dog boarder West Malling - The Pawfect Pad for this image from a recent beach day. And did you know the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch railway is dog-friendly? Hop on at Dungeness have fun!

For dog-friendly beach fun on the Isle of Grain you can park at Grain Beach Car Park, free at time of writing. Thank you to Waggy Trails Adventure Days Queenborough
for this image on an adventure day to Grain.

Minster Leas is unrestricted all year round beach hut side so dogs can go off lead and all of the beach October to April inclusive.
Beach hut side there are different steps up so you can make a circular walk and it's easy to work out where you are as you can see the sea from the top! Note tides important at Minster as if you want a dog run on the beach low tide is generally sinky mud flats. Dog Advisor HQ speaks from experience of lost flip flops and muddy legs!
Public toilets and fresh water on tap at the back of the toilets as well as dog water bowls.
Green space the other side to the beach huts where dogs can go off lead all year round.

Little Oyster Cafe for a cup of tea and/or an ice cream although not clear if dogs allowed inside there is outside seating.

Dog-friendly beach Palm Bay Margate has a kiosk and is unrestricted all year round. Pawsome picture of Joey Teall'n'Tails who is sadly no longer with us but loved the beach.
A sandy beach backed by high chalk cliffs where dogs are welcome off their lead all year round. Dogs are allowed on the beaches east of the small tidal pool. However, they are not permitted within the National Nature Reserve, which starts at the small tidal paddling pool and includes the chalk reef, mud flats and saltmarsh.
Mid to low tides are the best times to visit as the beach is covered at high tide.

Dude and Disco loved Samphire Hoe a 3.5km on lead walk with a dog friendly beach at the end for some unrestrained (whilst in control!) off lead fun. Free leads and poo bags if you've forgotten yours. On lead to protect the amazing wildlife. Rebel Coffee Pod with small food menu Wednesday to Sunday. Parking good value. Cool tunnel to get there! Clean toilets. Be careful at the beach on stormy days. Fun memory statue (intrigued? go along and find out for yourself!). Sheltered and spaced out picnic seating. Ideal for reactive dogs

A beautiful bay with white cliffs and chalk stacks.
There is plenty of exposed sand to enjoy when the tide is in, but due to the bay's shape the ends are cut off at high tide.
