A free informal on-lead sighthounds dog walk for new and existing sighthound owners to get together, socialise their dogs and talk about all things hound. Non-sighthound family members welcome too (we call them "plus ones"). No need to register in advance but feel free to bring some money for our Retired Greyhounds Canterbury donation tin and do book in with Jackie (Jax) in case of emergency. Normally every second Sunday of the month except July and August meet 10am for 10.15am start. Starts and ends at Botany Bay Hotel with the option to pop in for coffee. Join us for a pawsome community dog walk in support of an amazing cause! We’ll be setting off from The Horse & Groom to enjoy Wilmington’s local nature trails with your furry friends, then heading back for a well-earned treat. The walk will take about 1 hour.

What’s included? Free hot drinks. Bacon or egg sandwich on return. Doggy treats too! All money raised goes to Guide Dogs, so grab a lead, bring your best pal, and join us for a friendly stroll and a chat.

This course is perfect for both pet enthusiasts and individuals working in the pet industry. It encompasses fundamental first aid topics for Dogs and Cats, but the knowledge can also be applied to a wide range of other animals. Gaining a grasp of basic pet first aid equips you with the abilities to provide initial assistance and mitigate their condition from deteriorating until veterinary care is administered.

Topics covered include CPR, choking, bandaging and more.
