My name is Alexis and I’ve run Kent Companion Dog Training since 2009.
In 2013 I got my level 5 university diploma in canine behaviour and management, alongside my accreditation with the PDTI as an advanced instructor. I now tutor for them to help other trainers.
In 2024 I was accredited as a dog trainer by the IAABC also.
Over the years I have written 5 simple training books for owners to follow on various subjects including reactivity. These are all available on Amazon!
My passion is helping people with dogs who struggle with dogs or people due to fear and run workshops, courses and offer 1:1 packages on reactivity.
My classes are based in Ashford where I do puppy classes, basic training and various different classes such as parkour, focus and impulse control, lead walking and recall.
My 1:1 training is offered across Kent, where I come to you and tailor the training to the individual dog using positive reinforcement.
I also offer zoom consultations which can make training more accessible and affordable to all.
My belief is that you must always look at the whole picture, taking a holistic approach to help the dog and owner.
I’m the proud owner of a rescue poodle x called Dinger! Like every dog I’ve had in my life, he teaches me daily more about dogs!
