Describe your business to our readers

R&R is a low-fat, natural dog treat business, every treat we sell has various health benefits!

Do you have your own dog(s)?

I own 2 yellow labradors- Remi & Rex (also where R&R came from) Remi, 4&1/2, is an angelic gentle baby who loves a cuddle, she’s very much daddy’s princess & loves nothing more than a splash around in dirty water or a roll in fox poo Rex, 2, is the polar opposite, a complete terror, he back chats when he gets told off, definitely a mummy boy despite being the worse thief- his favourite thing to steal is socks. Being the iPad kid he is, he loves to watch tv but also loves a muddy puddle.

How do you start your day?

My full time job is a primary school teacher, so my “normal” working day starts very early, leaving the house at 6:30 to beat the traffic’s on the roads (not a highlight of my day). I then spend my day filling the tiny humans brains with knowledge to help them become amazing adults. I then leave work at 6:30 (again battling the traffic before getting home & snuggling with my doggos.

How does a typical business day look for you?

Each R&R event day is different, but normally starts with me loading the car with all the boxes ready for the market/Fayre we have that day! After the markets finishes & when I get home, I sort out the admin side of a business before cuddling the doggos and maybe slipping them a treat I’ve stolen from my own business! (Their favourite part of the day I’m sure)

What do you most love about running your own business?

I absolutely love meeting every single person at events, those that shares their stories about their dogs & those that buy my products. I also love sharing my knowledge about my treats, the reasons for starting the business, the health benefits of the treats and the funny stories!

And your least favourite thing?

My least favourite bit is that it isn’t my full time job
