Describe your business to our readers

Hi, I’m Kim, creator of Little Paws Dog Friendly Candles. Since discovering some candles were toxic to dogs inspired me to create safe, non-toxic alternatives using 100% essential oils and soy wax for pet lovers.

Do you have your own dog(s)?

I have a toy Cockapoo , Chester who serves as the inspiration behind everything I create and strive to achieve.

How do you start your day?

I begin each day with a morning walk with Chester, using the time to organize and review my to-do list.

How does a typical business day look for you?

A typical day begins with an early morning walk with Chester. I then gather my furry clients for their scheduled walks. Between walks, I dedicate time to developing new seasonal scents for my candles.

How do you finish your day?

I conclude my day by ensuring all my furry clients are safely returned home, change from my uniform to a comfy tracksuit Finally, make sure any pending orders are carefully packaged and prepared for dispatch.

What do you most love about running your own business?

What I love most about running my own business is meeting so many wonderful people and sharing how harmful some candles can be.

And your least favourite thing?

My least favorite part of owning a business is that I don’t like saying no to people, so I end up working 7 days a week.

What would you like to say to dog owners reading this?

I am passionate about raising awareness regarding the potential toxicity of candles and diffusers for dogs.

Additionally, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks for your incredible support throughout 2024 with my Pooch Painting events. I eagerly look forward to what 2025 has in store!
