I'm Carly, we train companion dogs in multiple disciplines and assistance dogs training to work.

Do you have your own dog(s)?

I have 3 dogs, Merlin a cockapoo, Mags a Labrador & Major a bull lurcher. All rescue with their own stories to tell

How do you start your day?

Up, greet the dogs (sometimes my husband ;-)) Coffee!

How does a typical business day look for you?

I'm always up with the sunrise, get my own dogs out and/or do some training with them. Mornings are spent on admin, speaking to clients, writing up 121's, training plans for sessions other trainers may be leading. Afternoons I go off to meet my 121 clients in our training field to get to work helping them. Some evenings I also run classes from Obedience to sports.

How do you finish your day?

Catching up with my husband watching awful TV! snuggling my dogs.

What do you most love about running your own business?

The ability to try new things, always learning and surrounding myself with amazing like-minded people

And your least favourite thing?

THE RAIN, not so much rain but the mud it creates! What would you like to say to dog owners reading this this advent?

What would you like to say to dog owners reading this?

Seek out the trainer that is forever learning, passionate, kind in their approach and has a "not one-way fixes all" mentality. Most of all HAVE FUN, try it all, find "the thing" you love to do together or multiple things.
